The Star
INFO
A star in the sky arises from dust and gas. The closest star to the earth is the sun, and our source of energy for life - therefore the work "The Star" is quite simply a tribute to the universe, life and what is around us!
The star is 680 cm in diameter and weighs 95 kg and consists of a regular stainless steel dodecahedron* as the centre.
1 piece is attached to each side. 30 mm aluminum tubes - and on each of the 12 tubes, 5 x 250 cm led hoses are attached which form a tip.
Each LED hose is RGB-DMX controlled and has 148 pcs. LEDs.
In total, the star has 9,620 LEDs.
*A regular dodecahedron (Greek: ~ twelve faces) is a Platonic solid consisting of twelve pentagonal faces, with three meeting at each corner. It has twenty corners and thirty edges.
"The Star" has been exhibited many times at Egeskov castle - both at Heartland festival and Luminis - as well as at several locations in Odense, and at several different light festivals in Germany.
The artwork can be rented out - call or text for more information.
